Description of The Yukon Trail
Here is the video game “The Yukon Trail”! Released in 1994 on Windows 3.x, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's an adventure, educational and simulation game, set in a cards, geography, history, western, north america and puzzle elements themes and it was released on Mac as well.

Couldn't get it to work, BUT you can also play it online here: https://oregontrail.ws/games/the-yukon-trail/play/ . So much fun! Super nostalgic.

Was able to get this running on Mac via a virtualboxVM after installing a windows Xp virtual machine. Need isomagic to mount the file but apart from that works great, couldn’t get the sound to work though, which was a massive bummer, when I first played this game I was too young to be able to easily read and so the voices were my fave

This is cool to find this still out there. Fun Fact: My father played and recorded all the ragtime music in this game (recorded via MIDI)

I've unzipped the 3.x files but there are no files in the folder? there's just yukon.006 and my computer doesn't know what to do with it

The Macintosh is too complicated, but windows 3.1 works for the game really well though. You tube.com has a video on how to do it though. it helps you to put windows 3.1 in dosbox, everything to play some great windows 3.1 or dos videogames. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_FZ3l1PXQc

when i go to open it i get a message that says "You can’t open the application “The Yukon Trail” because the Classic environment is no longer supported."
anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

DL doesn't work on Windows 8. Wish this game worked online the same as Oregon Trail; this was the one I really loved.
