Description of Galactic Conqueror
Here is the video game “Galactic Conqueror”! Released in 1988 on DOS, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's an action and strategy game, set in an arcade, sci-fi / futuristic, shooter and space flight themes and it was released on Amiga, Amstrad CPC and Atari ST as well.

A fun 3D shoot 'em up, with some light strategy elements and a cool story.
I have only played the ST version, but I am sure the others are fine too.
It takes a bit to get used to it, but it is worth it.
