Description of Independence Day
Independence Day (aka 天煞：地球反击战, ID4) is a video game published in 1997 on Windows by Fox Interactive, Inc.. It's an action and simulation game, set in an arcade, flight, sci-fi / futuristic, shooter, licensed title and movies themes, and was also released on SEGA Saturn.

Yes! It finally works! I had to remove ddraw.dll from the game's folder, otherwise it would crash at launch. Other than that, runs great!

Thanks Admin, I still needed to go into Config first instead of using the Start launcher. But it worked after that. Made my dream come true!

Just so everyone knows, the newest version of my repack fully works without the disc - I wrote a Powershell script to handle mounting/waiting for the game to exit/unmounting the ISO
Just install and play, no fiddling needed

FYI guys, the PS1 version of this game is usually considered the ugly stepchild. Just note, if you emulate & upscale the graphics via an emulator the graphics look much closer to the 3D Accelerated PC version. I can't say how close because I'm comparing based off foggy memory but just an idea. Don't emulate on default settings, look up some tip videos on YouTube to upscale so the game looks way better than it did on PS1 hardware.

Well unfortunately I tried yet again to get ID working without a disc, and it just isn't gonna happen. If someone that's good with x64dbg or another debugger can make a no-cd patch for it, I can definitely get it re-released! Until then, sadly the only way to play is with an original copy of the disc or through emulation... Hit me up on Discord if anyone has questions

@C-DUBB & All, the emulation I found with DOSBOX / Win 95 & tested is in the following link. However it won't have 3D Acceleration but, it will have the PDF manual. We will have to wait on BLADEZ1992 to see if he can make the ultimate release.

Going to try to fix ID again, I think the issue is that there are spaces in the install path. I have a feeling if I fix that, it may run.

I can confirm with Filipe that Bladez1992 repack doesn't work. Followed all instructions but still says no CD. Looks like his version did have DGVoodoo for 3D Acceleration. Guess I'll have to stick with DOS box Non 3D Accelerated version for now.

Is BLADEZ1992's repack come with 3D Acceleration? I have seen it run without 3D Acceleration using DOSBOX & Windows 95 emulated. The one YouTuber who did get it to run with better graphics used Voodoo2 emulation but mentioned that 3D Acceleration emulation made it very unstable, crashing too often.

I read all the relevant stuff, but it still reads "no CD in drive."
I am currently using DaemonTools to mount a virtual drive.

The game does not run even when mounted on to a virtual drive.
