Operation: Eco-Nightmare (aka Alarmstufe X: ... der Alptraum beginnt!) is a video game published in 1997 on Windows by Discovery Channel Multimedia. It's an adventure and educational game, set in an ecology / nature and puzzle elements themes, and was also released on Windows 3.x.

I absolutely loved operation: weather disaster when i was a kid. I managed to borrow this copy from the public library of all places. There is a part early on that is ridiculous hard. You have to control a robot to clean up an oil spill. However, you have to get literally every pixel of oil or you can't proceed. The robot moves way to fast to control it precisely. I couldn't beat it as a kid and i struggled with that part as an adult. There is also level later on that i swear was glitched. You are supposed to be able to seal a leaking gas tank with magnet. I watched people do it in walk throughs but it wouldn't work when i tried it.
Still, i have a fondness for those classic DCM puzzle games. If you like those, give this a shot.
