The Boz 2022-07-23 0 point Commodore 64 version

The graphics were pretty decent on the C64, a bit of a novel platformer and massively rated by all magazines at the time. As time has gone on, the game has achieved cult status and even 35 years after release, most if not all gamers from the 80s will still remember and know this title without any prompt. Personally, I played Rainbow Islands back in the day, rented a cassette from the local video shop, but never got into it. I thought it was over hyped, 1 dimensional and repetitive. Maybe I was in the minority, but I have never let the majority influence what I liked or disliked, and this was a game I wasn't a fan of. I much preferred New Zealand Story and Creatures when it came to platformers. But seeing screenshots still instil that feeling of nostalgia.
