Description of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Missions

One of the best superheroes action games ever made, Manhattan Missions is the third game in Konami's line of platform games based on the lucrative license.

The third time is really a charm for this game, as the Turtles finally come to life in colorful graphics and a good number of special moves that are unique to each Turtle. There are a lot of enemies and cool power-ups, and great options such as the ability to choose which locale to battle next, and a training mode in which you can practice each Turtle's moves against different enemies. Although most missions occur indoors at various locations in Manhattan, New York, they are quite different from each other, and you will also have a chance to battle in exciting locations such as aboard a subway train, or in the sewers.

Konami finally did the license justice with this game-- a must have for all TMNT and action fans alike. Two thumbs up!

After playing this for a couple minutes to an hour, i have to say that this game is actually pretty fun. Despite the stiff controls that take getting used to and the vagueness of how to attack (you have to hold enter and an arrow direction btw). Given I'm a tmnt fan so i get alot of enjoyment from this game. The game also has leveling for some reason. Leo ended up being my strongest turtle just because I don't know if there's a way to swap turtles.

the game's setting is a weird mixture of the mirage comics and 87 cartoon. you have pupiless turtles, casey jones being a recurring ally (and having his mirage comics color scheme) and full red bodysuit shredder. but then have beebop and rocksteady and caucasian baxter (who's african american in the comics) as well as the color coded headbands that everyone is used to. also the turtles' love for pizza.

Overall its enjoyable. Bit jank with the controls and you really need to manage your playstyle if you don't want to have every turtle injured and make sure you have enough time to finish the game (yep, it has a time limit). the game over screen is hilariously depressing at least.

Works great under DOS, but It asks for the second disk after defeating Shredder, so you'll miss the ugly end sequenze.

Well it looks nice, but it just plain refuses to work within a browser with Soundblaster and Adlib sound. And I really don't like the pc speaker noise it makes. I tried setup, but it just keeps on showing the sound setting whether as Adlib or Soundblaster when I set that before, without actually getting either of those to work. (A lot of games do work with Adlib and or Soundblaster by default when played in a browser)

It's not crap. THIS IS AWESOME!! This is an early game based on the original Mirage Turtles. A real diamond in the rough. This is a great game, I'm sorry that the cry babies who grew up on xbox360 and playstation 2 can't handle REAL games that aren't FPS or games that are like every other game published now a days. Losers hahahhahahaha. Missed the REAL video games and lifestyle!!
