What happened to games.reveur.de ?
There is a simple message "it's over" on the site.
It's a shame if it's gone. There were tons of mods for WR2 and other Synetic games on that site.

Steam version of WR2 is ok, but honestly, the only Synetic game that I want to be re-released on Steam, GOG and so on, is Crash Time 4, and that only because the retail version uses the obsolete Games for windows Live. A version without GFWL will be great.

@MUHAMMAD OKKY most addons are simple installers, just launch exe-files. For addons with no installers - put files manually in World Racing 2/AddOns folder

We have updated the game, added Disc Image of original DVD, patches and Full-Rip. Also, we tested that No StarForce DRM Setup from Computer Bild Spiele magazine, and highly recommend to use it to install the game, it's DRM Free and already patched to the version 1.4.3

(I've downloaded the game from other site several years ago and haven't tested this setup)
What a great game. It runs on every PC, the graphics are nice compared to system requirements and most important - there are tons of mods, cars and tracks on games.reveur.de
Despite the fact WR2 is from 2005 it has the overall feel of playing classic 90's arcade racing title.

Hey, does anyone know what version of the game this is? Went to try patching it from 1.3.3 to 1.4.3 but it had issues, so it's possible this might not be 1.3.3.

I think this game looked familiar.
Okay, little context, there used to be a video on YouTube where TF2's Scout played a game similar to this, and I think this might be the game used in that video, but I don't know since I can't seem to find the video anymore. these videos are basically dubs with voices of TF2 characters overlayed over video game footage.

be aware that this will cause driver signature failure under windows 10 if starforce is not removed properly.... such a fun game that somehow works with modern steering wheel controls held back by a crippling early 2000's DRM... disappointing that this isn't on steam or anywhere else....

There is a small software (about 2mb) to remove StarForce protection. The link can be found in PCgamingwiki. You can use the software to install the game without worry in a OS above windows XP. I used it to install on my windows 10 system. The game is not bad.

There is DRM-free version of WR2 from "Computer bild" but I don't think this is it.
The "install guide" is very old - only Windows Vista is mentioned - and it actually encourages you to install starforce drivers!
That's something I strongly advise you against.
Maybe the safest way to install WR1 and WR2 nowadays is to find and download repack version of the game with starforce already removed.
